Just like the Beatles did in the 60’s, digital media, social media, & the internet have revolutionized the world of music today - changing the way we experience Media forever - including the way we discover, listen to, and buy great music, as well as attend live concert events.
Never before have there been so many tools available for Bands & Artists to make music. And never has there been so much over saturation that fans can get lost trying to find a source for the best independent music available.
Yet the music industry is still being controlled by the Mega-Corp-Media-Conglomerate Wall Street owned Major Record Labels, dictating what music they think should be heard, and which bands get the spotlight - or which ones are shelved and buried – signing bands to lopsided
360 contracts, paying bands fractions of pennies on the dollar for streaming, charging bands recoupables against all label expenditures, taking publishing and ownership of the songs so the artists can't even perform their own songs without permission, and still stealing the lions share (80-90%) of the revenue for themselves.
